Service Change Information

The latest news on updates to our services

Every four months – January, May, and September – Cherriots implements service changes based on input from customers, drivers, other Cherriots employees, and performance monitoring results. The next service change will go into effect on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Details on the service change are listed below.

Cherriots Local

Route Adjustments

Route 22 - Kuebler Link

The last section of Mill Creek Dr has been completed, connecting it to Deer Park Dr. This development allows Route 22 to serve Corban University. 

  • For eastbound trips (To Aumsville Hwy): Route 22 will serve Aumsville Hwy @ Depot (Stop ID 1757), which is shared with Route 11. This added stop will provide an additional transfer point between the two routes.
  • For eastbound trips (To Aumsville Hwy): Route 22 will serve a new stop across from Corban University, Mill Creek Dr @ Deer Park Dr (Stop ID 1990). 
  • There are no schedule changes to the route.
  • There will no longer be service to Mill Creek Dr @ Logistics (Stop ID 1974).

Stop Changes

Route 5 - Center Street

  • Route 5 will serve Walker @ Swegle (Stop ID 1588) 
  • Swegle @ Princess (Stop ID 501) will no longer be served. 

Route 9 - Cherry / River Road

  • Route 9 will serve a new stop, Cherry @ Johnson (Stop ID 1991). The stop was built as part of the new development that was added on the corner of Cherry Ave and Johnson St. It will be located north of Johnson St and south of the railroad crossing. 

Schedule Adjustments

In an effort to improve schedule reliability, the following Cherriots Local routes will have minor schedule adjustments:

Route 14 - Windsor Island Road

  • Minor schedule adjustments on weekdays.

Holiday Service

Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 - Cherriots Local will operate at the Saturday service level.

Cherriots will not operate on:

  • Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27
  • Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25
  • New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026

Cherriots Regional

Route Adjustments

The following Cherriots Regional routes will have route adjustments:

Route 10X - Polk County / Salem Express

Route 20X - North Marion County / Salem Express

  • "To Woodburn" direction: Buses will serve the stop on the north side of Mt Hood Ave. The stop, Woodburn - Mt Hood Ave @ N Pacific Hwy, (Stop ID 1992), is also served by Woodburn Transit. 
  • "To Salem" direction: Buses will serve the stop on the south side of Mt Hood Ave. The stop, Woodburn Bi-Mart - 1700 Mt. Hood Ave (Stop ID 1460) will be served from the street rather than in the parking lot. See image below:

     

Holiday Service

Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 - Cherriots Regional will not operate.

Cherriots will not operate on:

  • Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27
  • Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25
  • New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026

Cherriots LIFT

Cherriots LIFT continues to operate when Cherriots Local service is offered.

Holiday Service

Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 - Cherriots LIFT will operate at the Saturday service level.

Cherriots will not operate on:

  • Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27
  • Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25
  • New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026
