The Oregon Department of Transportation helps in times of need
On Jan. 14, 2019 our Regional Route 30X evening trip was held up in traffic due to a horrific crash up ahead. The bus was headed back into Salem and was waiting over 3 hours. Our contractor for regional services, MV Transportation, contacted Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for assistance in moving the Route 30X bus out of the line of traffic. ODOT sent one of their Roadside Assistance vehicles to the bus and led it on the back roads around the wreck and back to Highway 22 to return to Salem. This is another outstanding example of our strong partnership with ODOT. All riders made it safely to their destinations and the bus finally returned to the MV Transportation parking lot after 11 p.m. Great job, everyone!
